Interview with Mauricio of Rituality
1. hey bro, whats up? thanks for the intie bro. im so glad to interview one of member of goretrade, but today i interview you for your new band rituality. first off tell us how rituality started and the current line up. 8. what releases will you have? and you will have upcoming merch? i really love the bands logo and hope you create band logo t-shirt ha, ha.
R/ Well, first I want to say thank you for bring to us you space.
RITUALITY started since 6 months ago when Mauricio and I thought in create a band different to GORETRADE with different sound and style , cause we have a great affinity with bands like DEVOUREMENT, RETCH, C.B.T., VIRAL LOAD among others, and we wants to make reality our different influences and is for that what we give life to RITUALITY.
2. describe the bands sound. i heard from my friend that you guys sound like viral load, retch and etc. is it right description? and what bands influence rituality and how the bands sound differ from your main band goretrade?
R/ The description of your friend was good, and that bands are the great percent of our influences, and we got a sound different to GORETRADE, cause the drums are programming and the composition is in very different way.
3. the band has slams and breakdowns? if so, describe those parts you create and any particular bands influence you guys for creating them?
R/ Of course man!!!!!!!!!! If you know about GORETRADE you know that we love the breakdowns and slamming parts, but in this time we are working on that to get that this slams sounds in other way.
4. i guess vocals are low gutturals right? what kind of vocals do you use and who influences your vocals style?
R/ I love the Barnes ( SIX FEET UNDER ) style and the maty way ( DISGORGE USA ) style but I think that the original touch is very important to do good everything.
5. what kind of gears do you use?
R/ we tray to use a good equipments to make our music, but in this moment we use IBANEZ Guitars, MARSHALL Amps, BEHRINGER V-AMP PRO and SONAR 2 XL with various plug-ins to make the drums programming.
6. i know some colombian bands play slam style stuff just like goretrade, carnivore diprosopus, extrmely rotten flesh and etc. So any more slam oriented bands i missed? and hows scene in general?
R/ In this moment exist in our country so many bands oriented in that style but you know the most important you know CARNIVORE DIPROSOPUS , E.R.F and etc. cause the scene here is very saturated of bands but no ones with great projection.
7. question again about colombian scene over there which do people love slamming bands or fast and technical bands? and theres newer bands coming out
of there?
R/ I think if you ask to the people for Colombian bands, the people everytime go to say to you that know about the same bands : INTERNAL SUFFERING, GORETRADE, but in the new time you can got info about so many bands in different ways but in this moment we can to talk to you about a scene that is growing but slowly.
R/ In this moment we are working on our first production and we can say to you that will be so fast and groove, about merch we hope that when we have a cd , we can get t-shirts and more about RITUALITY with the logo that you like!!! ( thanx for your comment about logo)
9. you guys have more side bands besides goretrade and rituality?
R/ we love play a brutal music but with two projects we dont have more time , cause GORETRADE needs very much of our time cause we are traveling and playing constantly and now with RITUALITY we hope have all our time busy.
10. what bands have you been into recently?
R/ DYING FETUS (great show) , TORTURE SQUAD from Brazil , ORANGE MAN THEORY from Italy between others.
11. experiences you have had in goretrade help you alot to create rituality(I¡Ç(Bs sound? and how will the bands future sound gonna be?
R/ I that GORETRADE is a great influences for my self and this is a clear reason to create a RITUALITY sound but we think that GORETRADE is created now and we want to create a different band with influences like GORETRADE too, and in the future we wants to sound like a great technical bands with attitude and great experience.
12. thanks for the intie bro. tell us the bands future plans and any last words you would like to add?
