1. hey thanks for the intie.your band misericordiam is one of my fav bands and catch my attensions alot haha.so i guess your band is pretty new band ,first off tell us abrief history of misericordiam.
Misericordiam started about 2 and a half years ago all coming from other local bands. Were on our 3rd release now which is due sometime in june "Unanimity and the Cessation of Hostility" and still workin on new material.
2. the band has some cool grindier parts with gutturals.describe your bands sound and what bands influence you guys alot?
Pissed off fucking aggression and intensity.Our influences are honestly everything from beethoven to minus the bear to devourment and all the above.
3. your vocals are mainly high gutturals right? describe your vocals.and why did you start to spew gutturals? any particular bands motivate you to do that?
We try to not stick to the mono tone thing we love to change it up in all ways and keep it exciting. Nick throws his vocals all over the place and hes got all areas covered. The gutterals started way back in the day listening to death metal what most of us were brought up on.
4. the band has cool grind parts.i guess you guys mainly use fast parts. but you like to use also slams and breakdowns? if so,any fav slam oriented bands you learn alot when you create those parts?
we definently like to keep it up beat as far as the heavy shit we get inspired by a wide variety of bands we listen to alot of tunes haha. Such bands like HappyFace,glossectomy,acacia strain,shattered realm so on and so on.
5. you shared the stage with devourment.so how was that like haha? that was awesome right?
Sharing stage with devourment is like one of our greatest personal accomplishments. We are all big fans of them and the were perfect just like cd but in your fuckin face,Amazing!
6. what kind of gears do you guys use? and how does writting songs work?
We have shit equipment honestly but we do our best we can with what little we have.As far as song writing goes we get high and jam have fun and we try not to stress our selves to much because thats just makes it harder.
7. las vegas scene is really growing and new bands come out there as always.what happened to there and hows is scene in general? any new cool bands worth mentioned?
The scene is good most the kids are all just friends hanging out having fun occassional fights but who doesn't love seein some get their ass beat.We dont have alot here but we always show love for the bands who come down.As far as bands here there always good new bands and good old bands who have been here forever.They are all worth mentioning just depends what style you like.
8. i just wanted to ask you,so you know implements of hell right? the band is one of fav bands from las vegas and they are my friends hehe.they play pretty new style death metal.what do you think about that band? i think now las vegas scene brings new thing to the scene.
Implements of hell are both good and cool as fuck,way chill dudes.
9. for me misericordiam is really diverse and draws line between other new bands.so whats your bands strong point that others dont have? and whats main goal of the bands sound?
We hate for anything to sound to much alike you know we try and throw people off with a melodic riff or something and right in to brutal death you know.We constantly change our sound and we just try to keep it as intense as possible like a rollercoaster.
10. tell use what kind of releases and merch you will have.so you are negotiating with a label about releasing stuff?
Weve done 2 cds so far like a demo(self released) and "A thin line between man and machine" which was put out by Bygon industries and 30 days of night.
And we are about to release the 3rd through 12 guage records. You can find any of our merch at any one of those places.
