1. hey alexandre,whats up? so you were in artey
eruption and ruthless beatings right? so tell us why
you started infantiphagia after you left those
bands,the current line up and etc.
yes i was in both AE and RB.infantiphagia was the
first DM band i was ever in as well as the first DM
band in vermont , when me and dain(guitar) started
the group we were only about 16 _ 17 years old,back
then it was not as serious as it is now,after several
years the band fell apart and we went on to other
things,when the whole ruthless beatings deal fell
apart for me and dain we HAD to do something so we
decided starting up infantiphagia with all new
material would be the best plan.the lineup right now
is dain-guitar/bass/vocals and myself on
drums/vocals.if anyone is interested in trying out
please get in touch with us(we are looking).
2. describe your music.for me the band is so technical
as well as it has cool breakdowns.and what bands
influence the band mainly?
we both get influcened by a lot of different stuff ,a
lot of DM bands and some stuff that you wouldnt expect
at all, so our music kind of represents all of our
different influences,your gooing to hear a lot of
brutality ,speed ,and melody.
3. vocals are gutturals right? describe vocals style
and what bands can you compare your bands vocals with?
shit man thats a tough one.we are going to have
gutturals,lows,mid range,highs.im really not sure who
to compare them to,i guess just listen and decide for
yourself(haha).
4. your drumming is tight as fuck.i mean your blasting
is so fast and gravity as well as tight.and double
basses are so quick and accurate.so describe your
drumming style.and who influences your current style?
thanks man.im mainly influenced by DM drummers but
there are a lot of sick ass jazz drummers as well.i
started off listening to cannibal corpse when i was
14,then goratory,dying fetus,gorgasm,shit like that
influenced me the most,and there is a lot of stuff
still coming out that i admire , i also like to throw
in some funky shit to go with the groove and jazzy
stuff as well.most of my older influences have made me
the drummer i am today ,so as of right now i dont
really have any.
5. what you had experiences in artery eruption and
ruthless beating helps you alot to create
infantiphagias sound? and if so,how?
well,id i have to say no.
6. i can hear some catchy breakdowns and slams.so slams
and breakdowns are your thing? and how do you create
those parts? or you prefer to use more fast parts?
dain writes stuff with some sick slam parts and fast
parts but you'll notice after we release more songs
there will be some melodic parts in there as well,we
just want to put out some stuff thats brutal but
different,ya know change it up a little bit.
7. what kind of gears do you use?
i use gretsch drums,pearl pedals,pearl rack,zildjian
and sabian symbals,ddrum triggers,and alesis.
8. hows scene in vermont? any other sick bands coming
out of there?
as far as death metal goes,vermont FUCKING sucks.
9. i know you are concentrating on infantiphagia
now.but you plan to start another new bands for
future? and you will team up with brian of artey
eruption again and form new band?
who knows what the future brings,but infantiphagia is
what im focusing on 100% right now.
10. what bands have you been into recently?
sexcrement,waking the cadaver,amon amarth,all shall
perish,mucopus,pantera,and a bunch more i cant think
of right now.
11. what releases and merch will you have? and tell us
the bands future plan please.
after we record at least one more song for a 2007 demo
to give out,we are going to focus on material for a
full length,shirts and stuff like that.
