of gorevent!
Threre weren't any death metal bands in Niigata some years ago. I was
born in Niigata, so I went back to my hometown and looked for members
to
form my band.
2. describe your music! and what bands influence you? Maybe txdm bands
such as devourment,sect of execration and etc are your major influences
right?
The frame of GOREVENT is certainly influenced by the abnormal,
mosh-inducing beat of DEVOURMENT. The contents of our songs are based
on
the bizarre parts from DEEDS OF FLESH. You know, we are not a very
simple
band.
3. the band has two vocalists.so both you use exhale gutturals right? so
what kind of vocals do you use and why?
and who influences your vocals style?
There's no reason we use both low and high voices, and we want to go
forward using low tones throughout our tunes. Takashi agreed with me,
so we
tried and succeeded. I (Gokucho) have been influenced by Erik from
DEEDS OF
FLESH.
4. you guys use tons of slams and breakdowns.so as i said above,i guess
devourment influences you alot for creating those parts right? So how
do you guys evolve their sound to your own sound?
I like the feeling of hip-hop, so I got into DEVOURMENT naturally. We
take their style in our sound as much as possible.
5. tell us what kind of gears you guys use.
Guitars - nameless 7 strings, marshall, Darrell-modeled 6 strings and
GENZ-BENZ.
Bass - 5 strings History.
Drums - snare - piccolo, geared to middle-low
tone.
6. what kind of releases will you have?
On April 8, we released 3 songs in a demo. We are currently making a 3
way split with VOMITOUS and LYPEKTOMY. The release date is T.B.A.
7. i wanna know how gorevents future sound would be.so you guys will use
technical parts as well as slow parts.or you guys keep the current
style just as the band is now?
Deeper and deeper, we are evolving. No techniques.
8. i can say gorevent sounds 'txdm meets jpdm'? And how do you guys take
essences from both and create gorevents own sound?
Yes. As our policy, we won't write the songs which have little
attraction. We keep on making mighty sounds to endow every riff with
the
power to crush your body. And We sometimes notice the ideas we are
considering have already been
created by someone else. Therefore, we try to persue different ideas.

We want to release full-length album in the near future, not only in
Japan but also to the world.
