1. hey, thanks for granting me this interview! first of all,give us a
brief bio of the band.and describe cuntmageddons sound!!Karni: Amm i thought about starting a brutal death metal project, and i asked Yaniv if he wanted to join it as the voaclist after i've heard his crazy voice.He said ok and told me that he would write the lyrics as well, and then we've start working.
Yaniv: Basically all there is to know is that we make brutal death metal,and we use a drum machine since there are no drummers with the taste for the music we are into, in our area.
2. when i listened to your songs, they reminded me of devourment and artery eruption.whats the main influences for the band?
Karni: Well first of all those bands fucking kill! Its a complement for us to be compared to them. And yes you can say that they are the main influnce for us as well as some other brutal death and grind bands.
Yaniv: Those bands had alot to do with the way we sound. Also i'd like to mention that "Cock and Ball Torture" had a great influance on the vocals.
3. why did you go with a US style of brutal death metal? do people like this style in isreal?
Karni: Beacause this is what i love the most, and it sound the best for me.. Well for other people here i don't know.but there are killer bands from other places also..
Yaniv: I really dont care about what other people in Israel like.I care about what we like. And it happens to be the US style of brutal death metal. What i'm saying is me and Karni love playing this style of music, and if other people from here like it, then its great. If they dont, we are not gonna change our style for them.
4. why did you decide to cover a song of israel gore grind band abosranie bogom? is it because you are into goregrind and your friend josh (he is also in sewaged) plays in that band?
Karni: Amm yes im into goregrind but i think the main reason for this was because its a good song and because of Jash.
Yaniv: I was sitting infront of my messenger one night and I recieved a message from Karni asking me if I want to cover this song.I checked it out and really liked it.to be honest, I never even heard about Abosranie Bogom until that evening.
5. how's the scene in israel? i know of sewaged and viscera trail. both bands are really sick bands in my opinion. any other sick bands?
Karni: yeah, those band are really sick.. and as for other bands i can't really tell because i don't know others..but there are Lehavoth and WhoreXcore who are both great but sounds a bit differnet.
6. why the name cuntmageddon? is there a meaning behind it?
Karni: well after a lot of indecisions yaniv came with this name and i immediately liked it.
Yaniv: Heh... it's just a little pun with the words Armageddon and Cunt.No deep philosophical meannings here.
7. are slam parts important for cuntmageddon? what bands influence you the most when you write the music?
karni: Yes. very important. This is what i like the mossttt in this music.It's fucking important. And what influnced me most were the slam parts in Devourment songs.
8. how long have you been doing vocals? any special vocalist that has influenced you in any way?
Yaniv: I just started gurgling along with songs I listend to about two months before Cuntmageddon was formed. Some of the vocalist that truly inspire me are Sasha from CBT, Ruben and wayne from Devourment and Joe from Circle of Dead Children.
9. i heard your songs on your myspace page and i really liked what i heard. so how has the response been to them? and are you in the process of getting new songs up? how will the new songs sound compared to the old songs?
Karni: Well we didn't get any negative response to the songs. So I think that people liked them.. And theres a new song on the way . Just waiting for the vocals to be done.and it sounds sicker then the others , i think.
Yaniv: Yeah, theres a new song on the way. Its called "Tittie bondage aftermath".It will sound a little bit different, but its definitely our style.
10. what releases will you have in the future?
karni: We plan on publishing a self produced demo.We will make it after we have 4-5 complete songs.
