1. hey tucker! how are things going over there in France? i'm so glad
to get a chance to finally interview you. First of all how did
chokingonbile start? give me a brief bio!!CoB is my 5th one man band project. others was Antanatas (blackdeath - rip), Bleeding Aura (deathgrind w goregrind touch - rip), CrimeSyndikHate (Groovy Goregrind - standby) and Voice Of Reason (DeathGrind - rip).CoB have started in the end of 2004 and it's a modest band who try to become THE French DEVOURMENT band cuz the french scene are very Thrash Death but not enough Brutal Death. So I have taken my Guitar and composed the "Disgruntled" Demo, I'm also the founder of Deathgrind.For the French speaking underground community.
2. if I'm not mistaken, chokingonbile is a one man band right? why did you choose to be a one man band? is it to create your own music without others interference?
Yeah, I like doing One Man Band project cuz I can compose alone and do all the choices for the evolution of the band, and I can make demo in one week without problem.Normally I wake up,take my guitar,compose and record one or two song in the same day.
3. describe your band's sound!
It's difficult to describe my own sound, but I try to do a clean sound with very moshing part with a little evil style in my riff, I want to do a music for dancing !! I want to mix R n' B groove with ultra loud riffs.. that's my sound , I hope.
4. you have really ultra guttural vocals that remind me of devourment!! its obvious that you came up with the name chokingonbile from a devourment song so on that note what bands influence you the most?
Thanx dude, well, i'm very influenced by devourment and goratory, sect of execration, Putrid Pile, Viral Load, Artery Eruption and all the TXDM style, and HxC bands like All Shall Perish, Burnt By The Sun but HxC bands influences me for my other bands,for CoB my influence are the TXDM scene and Japan Scene (disconformity,infected malignity,vomit remnants etc...) I'm fan of new breed of Japanese Scene!!!
5. you have a lot of projects like devastated and crimesyndikhate. introduce them to those who dont know about them and any other bands you play in.
Devastated is a real band and i'm just the singer of it, this band is very technical.we make Brutal Death with HxC and Grind Touch, loud and technical. We prepare a demo for 2006.
Crime SyndikHate is a Goregrind Band, so I used PITCH vox cuz it's the perfect FX for this style very loud ... CS is a band very groovy and I think I will try to composed a new stuffs for this project in standby I have created a band called NEKRORGASM with a friend of me, this is the FIRST groregrind/Hip Hop band around the world !! Try it in http://nekrorgasm.free.fr !!! Very funny, we prepare an album for 2006 with our own instrumentals, download our demo (make with Necro's instrumental)
6. i'm really into crimesyndikhate.the band sounds like corpse carving so vocals are ultra low guttural of course.is this a good assumption?
Yeah i like corpse carving, for CS I was very influenced by Foetopsy,Cock and Ball Torture,NeuroVisceral exhumation and Last Days Of Humanity, I used Pitch Vox for 95% of the demo. I like this project and I think, I will make a new demo for a split with CoB of course.
7. i've heard you played in a band named guttural coprophagia.that band broke up correct? what kind of style did you play? was it slam style reminiscent of devourment?
Guttural Coprophagia was a band formed with Nappy a friend of mine and we were two.after I have find musicians,i created a real band with the name GUTTURAL. OUR style was very groovy but our drummer was not very quick so I have decided to split the band for creating DEVASTATED with BURU (one of the gruitarist)

9. what's the scene like in france? do you guys have good support down there? any other sick bands worth mentioning in france?
The scene are good but very Thrash Death and Black metal, not enough new school Brutal Death, but I can give you the names of very good French bands (you can find it in my links on my website) check SEVEREIGNS, KRONOS, REPUDIATE, DECOHERENCE this bands kick ass you'll can find it in Google
10. what are your releasing now? what's in store for chokingonbile's future?
For The moment I have released "Disgruntled" (drum machine version) and this summer I will re-record the demo with Real Drummer and a new guest member is going to help me for that.
11. i've read on the site that a cakewet member joined the band.cakewet is from france correct? tell us a bit about him?
Cakewet are from Switzerland it's a very good goregrind band and that band's drummer play guitar in Gerbophilia another very good grindcore band. I make a cover of Cakewet in my "disgruntled" demo.You will can find cakewet in google.ch or google.fr
12. was the drum machine a preference for you? do you like to use it in your bands chokingonbile and crimesyndikhate?
I use drum machine cuz I can play drums myself,I play drums but I'm not very good.It's more easy to use drum machine when you are not drummer.
13. do you plan on staying as a 1 man band,or are you planning on incorporating more members to be able to play live and make your sound more brutal, if that's even possible?
I would like to do gigs but I prefer stay alone, for gigs DEVASTATED is for that !!!
14. okay last question,what is your dream and main goal for chokingonbile?
I do not have a particular dream, I want just to make the music which I like and to divide it with peoples around the world whole like and ask more.The day I would have some enough, I would stop. I do not want to become famous and not to earn money, I want to have fun.But if I can, I would like to sign with Macabre Mementos records for release a Split CoB/CrimeSyndikHate, so if MMR reads this, contact me.
