japanese bro's! first of all, give us a brief history of the band! why
did
previous band defiant manner split up and why did you start up infected
malignity?Hey Seiji. I am glad that my interview put on your killer webzine!!!. Well, Infected Malignity was formed in September/04 by me,Yuuto(Dr),Katsuyuki(Vo). In October/2004, Keiichi Hayasaka join the band for playing bass. All of us, ex-member of DEFIANT MANNER. This band split up due to defference between attitude to the band. And I wanted to play more brutal music than DEFIANT MANNER. After 2 month later, Keiichi joined the band as bass player, we recorded 3 songs demo CDR. We started a lot of promotion. But Keiichi left the band dew to hisown problem. We decided to play as trio band.
2. infected malignity sounds like mix of disgorge's california brutality and some txdm! describe the band's sound in your own words! and what's the big difference between infected malignity's sound and defiant manner's?
Yes. You right. I can describe our shit 3 words. Fast, Intensity, and Mosh!!!. I think Defiant Manner is near Thrash metal and Old school death metal than Infeted Malignity . i think its the most defferent things.
3. as for the new cd from unmatched brutality recs, how did you guys hook up with them? and tell us about the new cd's sound and what would you like to point out that might appeal to the fans?
We spend about 3 weeks for recording. Album title is 'The malignity born from despair. New cds is more brutalier than our DEMO CD!!!. Also, sound production is been more poweful&brutalier as well!!. Anyway you can hear 8 fuckin sick tunes!!. Be sure to check!.
4. the new cd is out through unmatched brutality. and i heard you signed with czech repuplic label lacerated enemy recently. so will you release stuff on that label in future as well?
Yes. This label is running by Zdenek from Godless Truth. We will be release split cd on this label. We provived 3 songs from our demo CD. But, I don't know which band will join this split cd and when it will out for now. But I can say that it would be awesome!!!.
5. what things do you guys care to create with this sick music?
Just listning other sick music. Many great sick music give me big inspiration.
6. now a days in our jpdm scene, there's some sick and cool bands out like vomit remnants, disconformity, rest in gore, woundeep, and devital. and most of them have cool slam parts so my friends from all over the world say that jpdm bands have killer slam parts like txdm. how do you feel about that?
Yeah. I think its cool thing. I am glad that people all over the wolrld say that!!. Honestly, I am happy!!.
7. any sick new bands from our scene you want to recommend us?
Unfortunately, nothing for a moment.
8. what kind of gears do you use? and any fav guitarist's that have influenced you?
I am using BC RICH guitar and JACKSON guitar. I don't have myown amp for now. Only guitars!. My favorite guitarists are Kerry king&Jeaf Hanneman(SLAYER), Diamond Darrell(PANTERA. RIP)John Gallagher(DYING FETUS),Trey Azagthoth(MORBID ANGEL) etc,,,. I influenced by all of them!!. Especcialy, 2 persons of Slayer is my godz!!!!. They are my roots of heavy music life.
9. as for creating the songs, how does it work? and what bands influence infected malignity the most?
At first, I image the songs in my head. After that, I tell it our drummer Yuuto. And we jam song use my small guitar amp and Yuuto's V-drums. Most infruenced band,,, Its hard to say for me. Because I infruenced by so many bands!!!.,,,. 3 important band for Infected Malignity are DISGORGE(US), DYING FETUS and DEVOURMENT. I think you can find their influence in our music.
10. what are some bands you've been into recently?
I ve been into many bands. My favorite brutal bands recentry are DESPISED ICON, INTERNAL SUFFERING,MORTAL DECAY,ORIGIN,HATE ETERNAL,COVENANCE etc,,,. I listen non-death metal band's cd recentry like BULLET FOR MY VALLENTINE, KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, BIO HAZARD,E-TOWN CONCRETE etc,,,.ÁÁAlso, Old school metal is still my favorite!!.
11. how did you come up with the band name infected malignity? and what's the main concept behind it you want to point out?
Concept is nothing. Just I think it is brutal name!. I have read dictionary many times for searching words. As the result of it, I found out this 2 words 'INFECTION' and 'MALIGNITY'.
12. last question takuma, in the near future what are the plans for the band, like gigs and etc?
As I told previous question,we are going to release full length album soon. And we will go Germany for playing at the LU death fest in this Oct. I want to do many tour after full cd out. We gonna play the show more than this year in next year!!!
